Approximately 20 more minutes to year 2009, im sitting in front of mac with a bowl of myojo seafood in between.
Everyone's at the countdown, other than me and my brother i suppose..
We've recently grew much closer and we both look pretty alike cause we're both bald

Who needs countdown anyway, i never liked countdown parties, not even christmas ones
(the only only one i prolly enjoy would be the countdown to my birthday)
which pretty much sucked this year, not because i spent it in army, but because the amount of people who actually bothered to wish me were like... a measly FEW.
which was totally different from the past, i get flooded with smses, friendster and myspace comments, and on msn too.

i suppose its all due to my carelessness.
you were right, friendship / relationships are meant to be earned and constantly maintained
i didnt really bother to contact people i dont have use for / reasons to look for
i've got loads of friends, but a really really few close ones, that i can open my heart to and talk to

and thats prolly why i feel lonely sometimes

This morning when i was going to the market with my mother,
(there were a bunch of bangladeshi workers removing some (oh shit what do you call that?!?!?!?)
Okay you know ketai?? they have to set up the stage and all that right?? the shelter, the ground with wood, and all that stuff?
Yeahh they were removing them cause the event was over...
Then they had to climb up the thing...
Fuck i dont know what you call it..
The metal ceiling, all thats left of the shelter cuz the cloth on top is removed.
They had to climb up and remove the parts one by one without any safety rope
My mom was like 'aiyo so dangerous..'

Deep down inside i was hoping that someone would fall off it.
I wanted to see how they would fall off it, how they would land, and which part of their body would they break, just for my amusement.

Just like during the olympic games, i caught the weightlifting competition.
It was pretty boring, how entertaining can it get seeing short, buffy people lift heavy loads up?!
Even if its a ton, god knows if those things they lift are real or not
Okay they're real.. But i like to think like that.
I was looking forward to them losing their balance, concentration or grip.
Waiting for them to drop the 'thing' and crush themselves
And i got myself happy, cuz the guy dropped that thing and twisted his arm pretty bad.

Oh fuck and i felt so guilty.

Well kinda..

I made loads of great mates inside
We did really crazy things..
And i mean really crazy stuff

Plus, we get free physical training,
free tekan-ing,
free lodging,
free showers,
free toilet water for consumption,
and free food which doesnt taste so great but its fine cuz its free

We've got really kick ass superiors and sergents, who would come over to our bunks to talk cock with us too.

But nothing beats civilian life.
I miss warm showers, big bed, pure clean water, nice food, a private space, piano, mac, internet and porn XD

i do not understand why god created us humans with such 'things' like:

A chinese man comes in, standing next to you, asking for 4 bucks so that he can have dinner.
Hes wearing old, tattered clothes, bathed in sweat and dirt,

We would look in a stereotypical kind of way,
in our minds it would go like:

What if hes a millionaire?
What if all these were just an act,
that he just wanted to get away from his life, and just wanted to experience the life of a poor man?

Hello people,
havent been blogging cuz my life really sucked for a bit.
Till a few weeks ago..
Its all better now,
and everything is getting better =)

Just in case i dont blog again,
i probably have 3 to 4 months left till ns,
i stopped working at the library already,
and am currently busy with my solo project,
and my band bravepaper's too.
i've done a song for the band, the feedbacks are rather good.
soo imma put it up, when i re-record the song nicely with everyone playing their stuff,
cuz i actually played the whole shit myself, layers, vocals, backups, guitars, other than the solo xDDD

think its gonna turn out nice, anddd cant wait for zheng's o's to finish man srsly..
then we can start gigging, hes got one rather cool song too, got the hawthorne heights feel to it.. and ser's local hero is pretty sexxyyy =))))

as for my solo project,
i really dont know if im going to it independently, by looking for an indie label or just diy everything by myself, or look for a record label...
i think my songs are pretty good, good enough..
but of cuz label looking or ep launch would be be after my ns.

so now, i just have to finish the demos and play everywhere first =D

2 songs done now so far. both acoustic.
i've got 6 songs done till the first chorus, rather good stuff.
and i've got like AT LEAST 10 rough demos yet to be done mannn.
loads of good stuff to choose from..

YESTERDAY's show at friday rend wasnt exactlty what i would call good.
There were major major sound tech errors (IM NOT BLAMING THE SOUND MAN)

But its more of MY fault..
Dan and ser had a little bit of errors,
hiro and zheng were fine they did great,
but i thought i did the shitiest..

Yea no doubt, the songs are definately shittly hard to sing,
(the projection and super gay notes)
And even though the song doesnt suit me,
which is not a excuse,
i have to admit i sucked like shit.
I need more dicipline.

Went to nicole lao shi's album launch yesterday.
DAMN COOL LAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
The pub, the people there..

Got to see some famous local musicians, producers and artistes face to face.
Like like, ken c, ruth ling, keith kwok, lee wei song (or issit his brother)
Yeaaaa and the list goes on...

Was looking to see her buddy Stephanie Sun though.
But she couldnt make it.

Yesterday night was definately a great one.
The pub was like damnnnnnn nice cannnnn!!?!?!
Its like western and eastern design mixed together.
And we have freeflow drinks, and finger foodddd,
which are both very nice.

Sooo yeaaaaa, Nicole's my vocal coach =D
Im really really proud to have her as my teacher,
to tell people that shes my teacher because,
she is just so...

She has the nicest nicest personality,

I was asked to clean the paint on the floor of the whole hall,
cuz they renovated and the paint actually spilled all over the place.

Hey, i was asked to do bangala job and actually had to use my barehands to soak the cloth with thinner to clean up the mess till my hand actually got ichty and sore cuz of the thinner. And i got paid only 5 dollars an hour.
HELLO!!!! You pay money ask people to clean is like at least 30 bucks la.
And still i came the next day to work.

If you think the 5 bucks youre paying me is alot then sorry..
My buddies all, work at taka, heeren all that.
Get 5 dollars, but got aircon blow lor..
Got people come just entertain, no customer then see chio bu.
Then if the customer come, buy something, you still get 1% commission lor..
Dont laugh at 1% cuz the watches there are like few hundred to thousand dollars.
So if you sell a 300 bucks one you get 3 dollars commission.
Just like that, easy.. got sell nvr sell also got normal pay take.

And its like heeren, orchard all that..
Take one mrt reach already.
Finish work still can shopping,

My one hour pay gone.
Meaning if i come to work,
i have to work one hour for nothing. ( 1 HOUR NO PAY )
What about lunch?! Its like $3..
Sometimes ah ma treat la so nvm dont count.

So i work for 8 hours a day for 35 dollars and i lose an hour of my life cuz of travelling.
You still count the minutes im late for work and pay accordingly.. with cents..
I still must take train and take bus and so far.. Stupid bus dont come sure late la.

Buh! the past 2 days at work had been crazy.
I literally had to do bangala work,
like cleaning the paint off the floor with thinner and carrying heavy stuff.

And the poly courses i am eligible for will be rather shitty even though i passed everything.

Had piano lesson in the afternoon.
And ehh i walked pass the piano shop and saw uncle eddie and nancy auntie there.
So i walked back to meet them.
Then there was this man, with his wife and daughter, they were looking at guitars for their daughters.
And the man was stupid enough to not understand the difference between a semi-acoustic and a acoustic guitar.

Even after explaining, he still said: 'i dont see the difference.'
THE FUCKING DIFFERENCE IS THAT SEMI ACOUSTIC GUITAR CAN BE PLUGGED INTO AN AMPLIFIER THAT IS WHY IT IS MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE STUPIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.

oh yes im finally blogging hoho..

yesterday was a blast.

went to meet fiona, zheng and kenneth to wait for ffaf at 12pm
we waited for a couple of hours, sadly they couldnt come to the shop cuz they couldnt make it
aw.. and we waited for so long
at least the shop uncle gave us their HANDSIGNED autographs on their photos

and then he told zheng and kenneth the concert organiser would be coming and asked them to help the organiser take some shoes that will be given out to lucky winners later at the concert
so they got to get in the place free

gawddd so fiona and i took the tickets ken and zheng had
and we could get in too

yesterday was wonderful, probably one of the greatest days of my life.

i was living wednesday in solitude
like totally alone to cut hair, to eat, to go for music lesson
its really cool sometimes to spend time alone with yourself

couldnt sing for fuck

THURSDAY 9 AUGUST
BIG DAY BIG DAY!
today's singfest day =DD
happy birthday singaporeeee

went to meet kenneth and fiona at ps
fiona was like super late
so ken and i went to get food and stuff for mae and her friends
got kfc and went to buy batteries and marker for her
fiona came and we took a cab there

its just friggin 3 bucks XDD
went to meet mae, veronica and crystal
they queued up like at 9am??
hardcore XDD
so we sat down and talked crap to entertain ourselves

then then thennnnnnnnnnnnnn, a white van came
and william beckett came out of it
all the girls went gaga -_____-
then came the other members of TAI
everyone rushed to take photos and stuff
i went to my fave TAI member sisky first
hohoho and i managed to take a photo with him
then the fans keep cutting our queue to take pics with butcher
kuku =( nvm laaaa at least i got sisky =D
they were asked to get in for sound check after that

okay then blah blah
gab of cobra starship came out to interact with the fans
then we were made to queue to get in
under the fucking hot sun
crapppppppppp. everyone was sweating like shit and they made us wait and wait
okay then blah blah, we finally got in

then great spy kicked off the show
not bad la not bad
i heard theyre quite big at aus and states
but they arent very famous in singapore
that sucks for a local band

i think the problem lies with the radio stations
they dont play local music
okay maybe only electrico
but thats not gonna be enough

came one buck short
they kicked ass as usual =DD

i bought a bun so i raised it around and waved at them with it

i think they're quite underated for a band of their calibre
they should hit mainstream

so i was like just shaking to their songs

sisky did the rap part the gym class guy was supposed to do

then came the academy is........

okay, the fucking wait was finally fucking over

and they did really outrageous stunts

then it was hinder to end the show with a bang
